June 2022, Tuku started her new role as Head of Local Productions for the South African Broadcast Corporation (SABC). Her responsibility is to develop, implement, and coordinate the strategic positioning and activities Local Productions -

Tuku has just concluded her tenure at CLIVE MORRIS Productions as the MD. In her capacity as MD, she had the opportunity of developing new business strategies that saw CMP staying ahead of the game and reaching new heights.
Tuku has a deep understanding of local industry players and strives to continually understand audience segmentations and preferences.
Tuku is a seasoned planner and strategist who for 10 years was the Managing Director of Corporate Icons Entertainment Consultants - a successful Entertainment, Marketing and Consulting company .Corporate Icons Entertainment has been rebranded and expanded to LalaInc to include Brand Positioning, Marketing, Communications, Distribution and Stakeholder Management both for local and International clients.
In 2019 Tuku distributed (over 400 hours) for an international distribution company (Intra Communication) which aired on ETV new channel e-extra. In 2009 Tuku managed one of Star-Sat (previously known as TOP TV) channels Top Gospel. Tuku is a proud member of Industry organisations: SWIFT and IPO.
Currently Tuku serves on the board of The National Film and Video Foundation since April 2021
As an outspoken advocate for women and youth in the South African film and television industry, Tuku is Chairperson of Africa Rising International Film Festival. A festival that centers women and youth, people living with disabilities and queer members of our society.
Tuku runs a mentorship program “ A break with Lala” that seeks to assist young women navigate the creative industry.
Tuku had the privilege of serving the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), in the CEO office as a Stakeholder Relations Manager. One of her key priorities at The NFVF was to build the credibility of the Awards property with the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs).
